Our Editorial Independence

Need to Know Comms operates independently. No provider pays us to recommend their product or service. No provider reviews our articles before publication. No provider can request changes to our editorial content.

Our guides, comparisons, and explainers are based on our own research, AU deployment experience, and judgment. When we recommend something, it is because we believe it is a good fit for Australian small businesses.

How the Recommendation Service Works

The "Get a Recommendation" service is a personal advisory service. When you submit an enquiry, a member of the Need to Know Comms team reviews your situation and responds with a recommendation matched to your business needs, call volume, and budget.

We work with a curated panel of vetted Australian VOIP and cloud phone providers. Our recommendations come from this panel. We do not recommend providers we have not assessed.

Your details are held by us and shared with a provider only after you have asked us to proceed. We do not automatically pass your information to any third party.

Commercial Relationships

We have commercial relationships with some of the providers we work with. Specifically:

Maxotel: Need to Know Comms is a Maxotel Channel Partner. When we refer a business to Maxotel and they become a customer, we may receive a referral commission. This does not affect our assessment of Maxotel's services or influence whether we recommend them for a given business situation.

These commercial relationships help fund the cost of running this site. They do not determine which providers we recommend -- we only recommend providers we believe are a good match for the specific business that has asked.
