Corrections Policy
How we handle factual errors, outdated information and correction requests.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Need to Know Comms is built on structured research, direct testing where possible, and current Australian pricing and provider information. We work to keep every guide, review and comparison accurate, but products, pricing, plans and regulations change and mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them.
What Counts as a Correction
We issue a correction for:
- Factual errors (pricing, specifications, features, contract terms, regulatory detail)
- Outdated information that no longer reflects current Australian provider offerings
- Broken or incorrect links to providers, tools or source material
- Misattributed evidence (for example, describing a vendor claim as something we tested)
We do not treat a difference of editorial opinion, or a provider's disagreement with a recommendation, as a correction request on its own.
How to Report an Error
If you spot something that looks wrong, contact the editorial team with the page URL and what you believe is inaccurate. Include a source where you can, it helps us verify and fix the issue faster.
How We Handle Corrections
We investigate reported errors against the original source, current provider documentation, or our own testing. Confirmed errors are corrected directly in the article. Material corrections (ones that would change a recommendation, price, or verdict) are noted with an updated "last reviewed" date. Minor corrections (typos, formatting, dead links) are fixed without a separate note.
Independence
Corrections are made because something is factually wrong, not because a provider, advertiser or partner disagrees with a conclusion. See our independence and disclosure policy for how we manage commercial relationships.
